I’m not a huge reader of romance novels, although I admire the genre. They’re cleverly written and always deliver on the passion. Three of the top best sellers at the moment are Beach Read by Emily Henry, Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston and The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang, and there are thousands more. But what I really admire are some of 1970s classic cover illustrations by Max Ginsburg. They’re true pop art in a class of all their own. I used to love them when I was at art school, and I still love them today. They’re outrageous, but strangely politically correct. Maybe they’ll encourage you dive into true romance, and you might just be enthralled, even if it’s just by Max Ginsburg’s outrageous illustrations.
