This picture of American war correspondent, Lee Miller, washing off the filth of combat in Adolf Hitler’s private bathtub is a great example of the character if this extraordinary woman. Out of the ordinary, exceptional, and courageous, are all terms to describe this former model and fashion photographer as she braved the front lines of the Second World War. From photographing the bombing of London to the horror of the holocaust, she was in the thick of the fighting and her images have never lost their power.
